FCFC

However, following the high profile financial difficulties that the club found itself in during 2005 and its subsequent fall into administration and threat of liquidation, FCFC put together a rescue package. On Wednesday August 9, 2006 this goal was achieved when Coleraine FC was formally taken out of the hands of the Administrator. With the further approval of the High Court, Coleraine Football Club was then purchased by the FCFC-owned Coleraine Football Club Limited, thus saving the club from bankruptcy and liquidation and securing senior football in the area.
FCFC now donates finances to aid meeting the running costs of Coleraine FC and as stated in the FCFC Constitution 'the business of the FCFC is to be conducted for the benefit of the Community as a whole and the (Coleraine Football) Club...or subsidiary of the Club'. The membership of FCFC, at their AGM, appoints a FCFC Committee to manage FCFC affairs and a Board of Directors to run Coleraine Football Club on their behalf. The Board of Directors is responsible in full for the day to day business of the football club and for formulating and developing goals, objectives and strategies of the business. Board of Directors representatives report back to FCFC Committee members at monthly FCFC Committee meetings.
